Mr. Helsel joined Western Reserve Partners in 2006. His work experience has centered on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising within the business services, industrial manufacturing and metals industries. Clients he has served include American Compressed Steel in its sale to The David J. Joseph Company, LANTEC Winch & Gear in its sale to Tulsa Winch Group and SolmeteX Inc., which was acquired by Layne Christensen Company. Mr. Helsel was graduated summa cum laude (Valedictorian) with a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Boler School of Business at John Carroll University. He majored in finance and minored in economics.

Mr. Helsel is an Eagle Scout who remains active in his community. He continues to support St. Gabriel’s food bank in Concord, Ohio, which he co-founded with his brother, and tutors students studying finance. Mr. Helsel is an avid fisherman and home repair enthusiast.
